Sunscreen is one of the biggest necessities of summer. I don’t step foot onto the beach or into the water park without spraying myself, and everybody around me, with a pound of sunscreen. I go through a ton of the stuff every summer. The cost far outweighs the risks of sunburn or worse. Whether it’s Coppertone, Banana Boat, Panama Jack or Parrot Head, a little bit of sunscreen is better than no sunscreen.
Theme parks are another summer destination that require a liberal amount of sunscreen because of time spent outdoors and in the sun. Many theme parks promote the wearing of sunscreen with partnerships between sunscreen brands.
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a leader in regional amusement parks, water parks and active entertainment destinations, has recently announced a five-year agreement with Panama Jack. This partnership extends the Panama Jack brand as Cedar Fair’s ‘Official Sun Care Partner” in its park.
According to the press release, the extended agreement includes products such as sun care, sunglasses, hats and Panama Jack soft goods, which will be for sale within Cedar Fair’s expansive network of parks, including Cedar Point, Knott’s Berry Farm, Kings Dominion and Carowinds. The partnership also allows for joint marketing campaigns that will leverage the two fun in the sun brands.
Kim Manna, President of Panama Jack, said …
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Cedar Fair. The continued collaboration between the two companies provides a great opportunity to bring families and friends together for fun, enjoyment and lasting memories.”

“We are thrilled to exclusively extend our partnership with Panama Jack,” said Bob Wagner, Corporate Vice President, Strategic Alliances. “Panama Jack is a strong alliance partner, given the wide array of well-known sun care products that are enjoyed by our guests of all ages throughout our parks.”

So, wear that sunscreen. And check out a theme park or two this summer.
Cheers,
Sandy
